Main Duties and Responsibilities To assist the Radiologists/other Radiographers/Radiology Nurses during patient examinations in the Radiology Department. To be responsible for the care and comfort of the patient whilst in the Department and throughout their examination. Communications To liaise with and maintain close working relationships with other disciplines within the Trust and the Directorate. To receive Team Brief monthly and attend one monthly Departmental staff meeting. Responsibility for Patient Care To ensure a high quality patient focussed professional service is delivered at all times. To participate in the shift system for ED and general radiographic work, this includes fluoroscopy, theatre and mobile work, and other flexible working commitments. To undertake any tasks for which a Radiographer has been trained although normally performed by support staff, which include Radiographic assistant or Clerical duties. To undertake routine radiographic examinations following departmental standards and procedures, assessing and preparing images for report. To be responsible for and ensure the care and comfort of the patient whilst in the department and during the examination. To ensure all work areas are kept tidy at all times. To maintain professionally high standards in appearance, hygiene, manner, punctuality, attendance and competence The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and promote safeguarding by implementing the Trusts policies and procedures, acting promptly on concerns, communicating effectively and sharing information appropriately. If successful this vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check at a cost of £54.50. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £16.
