Registered Children's Home Manager/RI

Location: Derby

Salary: Negotiable

Position Type: Permanent

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Children's Home Manager to lead our new Derby-based children's home. This role involves registering, staffing, and filling the home, with the objective of developing a Deputy Manager to take over the Registered Manager position within 12 months. Following this, the role will transition into a Responsible Individual (RI) position to oversee the expansion of services closer to Birmingham.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the children's home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted standards and regulations.
- Oversee the registration process of the new home.
- Recruit, train, and manage staff to ensure a high standard of care for the children.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to the needs of each child.
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for children and staff.
- Work closely with external agencies and stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for the children.
- Develop the Deputy Manager to take over the Registered Manager role within 12 months.
- Plan and execute the expansion of additional services closer to Birmingham.
- Transition into the Responsible Individual role, overseeing multiple services.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care (Level 5 or equivalent).
- Proven experience in managing a children's residential home.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage and develop a team effectively.
