As a Sous Chef at Sodexo, based in Burnaston, Derby, you are not just a skilled chef—you are a leader and a collaborator. What you’ll do:
- Prepare and cook meals to agreed standards, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain efficiency.
- Maintain high levels of food hygiene and safety, adhering to company and statutory regulations.
- Assist the Chef Manager in menu planning, stock control, and budgeting.
- Investigate and respond to customer feedback, ensuring continuous service improvements.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is used and maintained safely.
- Support the team in maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen environment.
What you bring:
- Proven experience as aSous Chef or Chefin a high-volume kitchen.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage and mentor the kitchen team.
- A deep understanding of food safety, hygiene regulations, and stock management.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for great food and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
