Crynodeb
It is a highly desirable post, ensuring maximum exposure for UKDSE and UK industry at defence and security trade exhibitions and events globally. It is a very high-profile role which is physically demanding, with tight schedules and challenging deadlines.
The successful candidate will be responsible for co-ordinating key elements of UKDSE’s participation in major high-profile defence and security events which attract cross-Whitehall interest, including at Ministerial level. The post will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders across all levels including UKDSE’s Senior Management Team (SMT), Regional Desk Officers, Military personnel, contractors, UK industry, event organisers and international Ministerial and military delegations.
UKDSE Events Project Manager responsibilities include:
- To project manage the build, delivery, and onsite management of UKDSE facilities at nominated UK and international exhibitions, in collaboration with the internal event sponsor. Establishing responsibility for key deliverables and ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with project timelines. Ensuring events objectives are delivered within allocated budget, whilst identifying and mitigating against any risks. Completing all relevant documentation in accordance with departmental policy.
- Delegation manager at selected events/exhibitions; to manage UKDSE’s SMT, UK Ministers, UK Senior Military staff, international Ministerial and Military high level VIP delegations around UK company stands to ensure maximum exposure for UK industry.
- Day-to-day management of exhibition stand build contract and management and reporting activity for the marketing and promotional budget for UKDSE exhibitions.
- To develop and maintain relationships with UK industry, appointed contractors, and event organisers to maximise opportunities for UK industry attendance at exhibitions and events.
- To effectively manage the events requirements of a wide range of internal and external stakeholders for nominated UK and international exhibitions.
- To manage finance processes, working closely with organisers and trade associations to book the most advantageous space. Managing stand space payments to ensure all activity is in line with projected budgets. Managing invoicing of companies to ensure timely confirmation of attendance at events.
