Crynodeb

As Health and Safety Manager, you will be embedded in a major section of the HS2 route, focusing on large-scale civil structures including bridges, viaducts, cut-and-cover tunnels, and associated earthworks. You'll work closely with construction teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to embed a proactive safety culture on site and ensure compliance with CDM regulations, company procedures, and HS2 standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead on H&S planning and strategy across complex structures packages

  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments

  • Support the implementation of health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives

  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and HS2-specific safety requirements

  • Provide leadership and guidance to site teams and subcontractors

  • Contribute to incident investigations and drive continual improvement

  • Liaise with the Principal Contractor, HS2 Ltd, and regulatory bodies

Requirements

  • NEBOSH Diploma
  • Proven Health and Safety Managerial experience
  • Striong background in structures
