Clinical Support, Therapies and Outpatients (CSTO) Division

The division is entering an exciting time with a number of ongoing and innovative projects. The pathology LIMS system will be a joint procurement with Nottingham University Hospitals, opening the door to further cross-county cooperation which we are managing via a Joint Pathology Board. A business case for three new MRI scanners and a fluoroscopic suite in Radiology represents the largest single expansion of imaging capacity the department has ever seen. A trust-wide Outpatient Transformation Programme is reviewing what the future of the service may look like.

Alongside Pharmacy, Radiology, Pathology and Outpatients, our other services include medical photography, the faith centre, therapies, medical records, clinical engineering and sexual health services.

Surgery, Anaesthetics & Critical Care Division

The Division of Surgery, Anaesthetics and Critical Care puts patient safety and patient experience at the heart of everything we do whilst providing outstanding care to the local population requiring planned care and surgical interventions. The Division has responsibility for 8 Surgical Specialties as well as Anaesthetics, Theatres, Critical Care and Decontamination Services with a total budget of around £85m and a workforce in excess of 1100 staff. Across the organisation we have an expansive footprint made up of 15 operating theatres, 130 base ward beds across Surgical Day Case Unit, 15 bedded ITU & Surgical SDEC.
