Job Title: Hoarding Practitioner (Mental Health and Wellbeing Services)
Location: Based at LinkLiving’s Edinburgh or Falkirk office
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

About Us
LinkLiving is a Scottish health and wellbeing charity. We support people to overcome the effects of trauma, mental health challenges, and inequality through services such as:

Personal development and employability programmes

Self-help coaching

Supported accommodation

Care at home and housing support

Befriending and social cafés

The Service
Our Mental Health and Wellbeing service offers intensive housing support to people who struggle to maintain their homes. This includes those living with hoarding disorder, a recognised mental health condition characterised by excessive accumulation and attachment to items.

The Role
As a Hoarding Practitioner, you’ll offer practical and emotional one-to-one support to people experiencing hoarding behaviours. You’ll help clients maintain safe living environments, working closely with housing associations, councils, and private residents.

You’ll develop strong, trust-based relationships and provide support tailored to each individual’s needs. This includes working in different local authority areas and collaborating with other agencies to ensure holistic care.

About You
You’ll have:

A good standard of education

Hoarding Training (Level 1–3) or willingness to complete it

Experience supporting people with complex needs

Strong understanding of independent living skills

A positive, can-do attitude and a non-judgemental approach

You’ll bring excellent communication and digital skills, knowledge of financial resources available for people on low incomes, and the ability to build partnerships with external organisations. You’ll be adaptable, reflective, and capable of managing your own workload.

Requirements:

Full driving licence and access to a vehicle

Willingness to travel between locations
