In this role, you will be responsible for executing a range of painting and decorating tasks across various residential and commercial properties. You will play a crucial role in enhancing and maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functionality of spaces by applying various painting techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes, and utilizing your expertise in materials and tools. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, excellent color matching skills, and a strong commitment to safety and cleanliness on the job site. Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling cracks or imperfections.
Select and mix paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes according to specifications.
Apply paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to a variety of surfaces.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Conduct necessary maintenance and repair tasks as directed by supervisors.
Estimate time and materials required for projects and report any discrepancies.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Painter and Decorator in residential and commercial settings.
Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and tools.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Excellent attention to detail and a strong artistic sense.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials.
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Relevant certifications or qualifications in painting and decorating are preferred.
Job applicant(s) without a current CSCS Card/ Full UK Driving Licence, will not be considered for this job.
