Southfields is an innovative, vibrant and welcoming school set in the heart of Coventry. The school was described as a ‘haven’ and rated ‘Good’ in its recent Ofsted inspection (December 2022).

What is the job role?We are looking for a newly qualified or experienced teacher to join our amazing Early Years Team – Leading our Nursery Provision.

At Southfields, we consider professional development to be a top priority and it is a recognised strength of the school. Every member of staff is developed through structured coaching, mentoring and training led by a dedicated Teaching and Learning Lead. We know that to be the very best, both effective CPD and time need to be given. We provide dedicated subject leader time and additional management time to allow you to be successful in your role.
The position, with the support of our dedicated team, provides the perfect opportunity for both new and experienced teachers to continue their professional journey and become the very best teacher they can be.
Who are we looking for?
If you are newly qualified / qualifying this year or are already an experienced teacher – you could be our next Nursery Teacher!
We are looking for individuals who relish the opportunity to develop their practice for the improvement of children’s outcomes.
We are looking for team players who will work within our existing fantastic team to collaborate on developing practice and provision.
Ideally, you will have an understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and the delivery of phonics – we use Read Write Inc.
You will have high expectations for achievement and behaviour for all children.
The start date for this post is September 2025.
