Summary

This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

As the Research Management Systems Project Delivery Lead (CRIS and Research Data Repositories), you will provide leadership and oversight of the Ensuring Data Compliance, Insights and Sharing (EDCIS) project to extend the functionality of the University’s current research information system (Symplectic Elements) and replace the research data repositories. You will be based in the University Libraries with close links to the Research and Innovation Service (RIS), working a minimum of two days a week at the University of Leeds campus.

You will be leading the delivery of the EDCIS project, an institutional digital transformation project and part of the wider institutional Digital Transformation Programme. The EDCIS project is a cornerstone project to support the University in meeting the objectives set out in the Digital Transformation component of the Universal Values, Global Changes, University of Leeds Strategy 2020 to 2030. It supports the implementation of the Digital Futures and Open Higher Education strands of the Libraries’ vision, Knowledge for All, and supports the aims of University’s strategy, Research Culture Strategy, and delivery of the University’s Research Excellence Framework 2029 (REF2029) submission.

You will lead the project delivery and supplier engagement to deliver:

REF2029 submission management module implementation in Symplectic
Research Data Repository procurement and implementation
Professional activities data streamline and refresh in Symplectic
Equipment data management in Symplectic
Research and innovation expertise database scoping and implementation
Your work will involve ensuring stakeholder engagement and buy-in, supplier engagement, project governance, and product oversight. You will work with the Business Leads, subject matter experts, suppliers, and technical teams to deliver the EDCIS project to an agreed implementation plan.
