Crynodeb
Communicates complex service related test information to managers, consultants, nurses, other health care colleagues, patients and patient carers. Assists in managing and maintaining specialised databases in laboratory computer systems and patient storage databases. Use research & development protocols on daily basis to provide statistical presentations of internal quality control (QC) to assess equipment performance in line with QC rules (e.g. Westgard). Assist in the education and training of Medical staff, Clinical Scientists, other BMS, Trainee BMS, MLAs and visiting students as required within their specialised area. Provide safety supervision & training for junior members of staff and actively promote safe working practices in all areas of the laboratory service. Our pathology department is part of the collaborative East Coast Pathology Network (see attached document)
