Torus is looking for a People Advisor to join our friendly and forward-thinking People team. We’re proud to say this vacancy is

As a People Advisor at Torus, you’ll be at the heart of delivering expert guidance and support to managers and colleagues across
our business. You’ll be a trusted partner, enabling effective leadership, nurturing talent, and driving high performance through
sound advice and people-first solutions.
What you’ll do:
* Act as the first point of contact for People Services, providing professional, consistent, and solutions-focused advice on the
full employee lifecycle - from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations, performance, and development.
* Support managers in effectively managing their teams by providing guidance on policies and procedures relating to attendance,
conduct, capability, grievances, and more.
* Build strong, trust-based relationships with colleagues at all levels, becoming a true partner to leaders across the business.
* Work collaboratively with trade union colleagues, promoting open and constructive employee relations.
* Play a key role in supporting apprenticeship programmes - both externally recruited and those focused on developing internal
talent - including recruitment, induction, performance, and progression.
* Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of People policies, ensuring they remain legally compliant, inclusive,
and aligned with business objectives.
* Assist in the delivery of strategic People initiatives and transformation projects aligned to the Corporate Plan and People
Strategy.
* Use HR systems and data to monitor and report on key workforce metrics, helping drive evidence-based decisions and continuous
improvement.
* Support learning and development planning by identifying skills gaps and sourcing relevant training in line with procurement
guidelines.
* Help ensure that Torus remains compliant with all relevant employment legislation, safeguarding practices, and equality,
diversity & inclusion standards.
What we’re looking for:
* CIPD Level 5 or equivalent HR qualification.
* A proven track record of delivering proactive, people-focused HR support.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for improving the colleague experience.
* Strong knowledge of employment legislation and a commitment to continuous improvement.
* Confidence to challenge, support and influence at all levels.
Interview Process:
* Candidates will undergo in-person interviews, consisting of a competency-based interview.
Additional Information:
Each successful applicant will be required to complete the following pre-employment checks prior to a start date being agreed:
* Right to work verification
* Qualification certificate check
* 2x Completed references
* OH Health Questionnaire – Fit For Work
* DBS check (if required for role)
