Overnight Security Supervisor
Scale 1, currently £24,570 (pro rata)
Hours per week: 30h per week (10:00pm – 8am Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday)
Fircroft is a residential college occupying a former Cadbury family home, set in six acres of beautiful grounds in Selly Oak, Birmingham. We were originally founded to provide educational opportunities for some of the most disadvantaged and excluded members of society. More than one hundred years on from the birth of Fircroft College, its mission of ‘social justice’ is more relevant than ever.
Fircroft is a thriving and ambitious College, our values are embedded throughout the organisation, and we are consistently nominated for sector and professional awards as an employer. We were assessed at the “Gold” Level once again in 2021 by Investors In People. As an organisation, we are truly passionate about climate change and sustainability and were the first College to declare a climate change emergency - in joining our team, you will have an incredible opportunity to make a real difference in this vital area.
We are looking to appoint an Overnight Supervisor to be the first point of contact in any emergency situation. The post holder will be required to work alongside the Estates & Facilities Manager to provide an evening and overnight caretaking service that ensures the College is safe and presentable for staff, students & visitors. To be considered for this role, you must have experience of undertaking caretaking or concierge duties in a busy setting, must have an awareness and commitment to Safeguarding and Prevent, and be able to work as part of a team and independently without supervision.
The right person will be someone who enjoys working at a fast pace with a variety of different tasks, who is self-managed with a strong work ethic, who has a positive outlook and a ‘can do’ attitude and is a completer/finisher.
If you meet the criteria above and would like to apply for this role, please visit https://www.fircroft.ac.uk/about-fircroft-college/vacancies-at-fircroft/. Here you will be able to download an application form and equal opportunities form to complete and return to us by the closing date.
