Crynodeb
2.1 To undertake a comprehensive assessment of patients including those with diverse or complex presentations/multi pathologies. To use advanced clinical reasoning skills and appropriate assessment techniques to provide an accurate clinical diagnosis of their condition. 2.2 Formulate and deliver individual podiatric treatment programmes based on a sound knowledge of evidence-based practice, treatment options, and use of advanced assessment tehcniques. 2.3 Assess patient understanding of treatment proposals, gain valid informed consentand have the capacity to work within a legal framework with patients who lackcapacity to consent to treatment. 2.4 Evaluate patient progress, reassess and modify treatment programmes asrequired leading to discharge and self care where appropriate. This may be in conjunction with other members of the podiatry team and or multi-disciplinary team. 2.5 To be responsible for maintaining accurate comprehensive electronic patient treatment records in line with recognised professional standards of practice (i.e., from the Royal College of Podiatry) and trust policies.
