Educational Psychology Service

About the role

Soulbury EP B scale (Point 4-7 + 3SPAs)
Full time, Permanent (Part-time applications will also be considered)
This is an exciting opportunity to work with the trailblazing Community Educational Psychology Service. You will assist Bury Council's Community Educational Psychology Service in the delivery of psychological services and support to education and community settings.

This work will involve assisting in the development and delivery of a range of services and interventions including:
Training and development work, involving wellbeing programmes and mental health support teams
Innovative project work with key stakeholders
Group work with children and young people
1:1 mentoring/therapeutically informed work with children and young people
Evaluation of service delivery
Administration
Direct individual work with CYP, including statutory assessment work

The service has some links with the Salford and Tameside Educational Psychology Service and there will be development opportunities across all services and support from other Educational Psychologists.

Requirements of the post:
- To be a qualified and experienced Educational Psychologist with HCPC registration.
- Relevant experience of working with children in family homes, educational / clinical or community settings to promote children’s well-being and progress;
- Evidence of using psychological understanding and approaches to support practice;


Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week. Dependent on service requirements, you may be required to work on a rota basis.
