Crynodeb
Providing a service to the wards at GWH. Working with the healthcare teams on the wards ensuring that blood tests that need to be carried out are completed accurately and correctly. Recognizing those patients with complex needs and apply appropriate intervention. Liaising with the ward co-ordinator/ward sister to gaincomplex and sensitive information about the patients to make a judgement regarding the patients that are a priority e.g. Those patients requiring blood done prior to discharge, time sensitive blood tests and blood cultures. An understanding of the pressures that staff are faced with when working on the wards. You are part of a team that are at times going to be faced with potentially upsetting and challenging situations.
