The governing body of St Joseph’s Catholic School and Sixth Form Centre seeks to appoint a suitable person for the following: Literacy Support Assistant Grade 5 (SCP 10-17)
Salary: £18,798 - £21,058 per annum (actual pay)
Required From: ASAP
This is a permanent post: 30 Hours per week, 39 Weeks per year (Term time Only)The successful candidate will work closely with the person responsible for whole school interventions to deliver programmes for literacy support and intervention. Duties will include administration and co-ordination in relation to literacy programmes, working with target groups of pupils and tracking their progress over time.
Applicants will need to be enthusiastic, hardworking and supportive of the school’s distinctive Christian ethos. Good literacy and organisation are also necessary along with a genuine interest in the development of pupils’ skills. Applicants will need to satisfy all of the essential criteria on the person specification. This post is subject to an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure.
