Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support café staff, ensuring efficient and friendly service.
- Manage daily operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and ensure proper stock rotation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas of the café.
- Train and mentor staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
- Assist in menu planning and introduce creative ideas for specials.
- Manage cash handling, reconcile daily takings, and prepare reports.
- Collaborate with the café manager to achieve business goals and targets.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a café or hospitality setting.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety regulations (Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate preferred).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
