Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker or Social Worker for our Leaving Care and Children Looked After (CLA) team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support, guidance, and intervention for young people who are transitioning out of care and those currently in the system. You will work closely with vulnerable children and young adults, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard, while promoting their emotional and social development. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of the challenges faced by young people in care, and will be skilled in building trusting relationships with them. This role requires a proactive approach to case management, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with various agencies, families, and community resources. You will be instrumental in empowering young people to achieve their goals, develop life skills, and foster independence as they prepare for adulthood. We are looking for someone who is not only passionate about social work but is also committed to making a lasting difference in the lives of young people in our community. If you are ready to take on a rewarding challenge, we encourage you to apply and join our dedicated team.

Participate in court proceedings and represent the best interests of children and young people when necessary.
Requirements
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA, MA in Social Work) and current registration with the relevant Social Work regulatory body.
Significant experience in social work, particularly within the Leaving Care or child protection framework.
Strong understanding of legislation and policies related to safeguarding and child welfare.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with young people and stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
