We are seeking middle grade doctors with at least 2 years ED experience to fill Specialty Doctor posts full or part time across both Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells site.

3 day ‘Fundamentals of Trauma Care’ course
In-house APLS/ATLS/ALS courses

Duties of the posts include:
To liaise between nurses, other clinicians, patients, relatives in order to support safe care
Attend and participate in board rounds, ward rounds and other related daily unit activities
Provide appropriate workplace supervision to other staff as and when needed as requested
Maintain high standards of professionalism, especially in relation to documentation
Participate in the Emergency rota.
Discharge notifications and follow up clinic letters as directed.
The Trust provides acute hospital services to a population of around 760,000 in West Kent and North East Sussex, and some specialist services to a considerably larger population. Its major hospitals are the Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury, and the Maidstone Hospital. The Trust Chairman is Annette Doherty, the Chief Executive is Mr Miles Scott and the Medical Director is Dr Sara Mumford. Clinical services are organised into nine clinical directorates. The Clinical Director for Emergency Medicine is Dr Christy Lowe.
To provide a high standard of care to any patient for whom you have clinical responsibility.
To participate in clinical and other service activities and developments with the aim of ensuring a high standard of patient care across the Trust.
To work in close co-operation with other medical, professional and managerial colleagues, both within and outside the specialty, to provide high quality health care to the Trust’s patients, and to make a contribution to future thinking about the Trust’s strategic direction
