Galloways Bakers are seeking dynamic and experienced First Sales to assist in the running of our local Bakery shops. We have 23 shops and growing. First Sales staff will have a hands on approach and provide cover for the Shop Manager during holidays and absences. There is potential train up to shop manager and run a Galloways Bakery shop. This role will be responsible for helping to overseeing all aspects of shop operations, driving sales, managing inventory, and ensuring exceptional customer service and ensuring staff carry out their shop duties. This role requires strong leadership skills, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to motivate and develop your team. You could be placed in any of our shops so must have access to own transport.
Duties:
- Implement strategies to maximize sales and profitability.
- Assisting in helping to manage day-to-day shop operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and customer service
- Lead and motivate your team to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent customer service
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean, organised, and visually appealing shop environment
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and escalations in a professional manner

- Proven ability to manage sales targets and drive results
- Excellent phone etiquette

Paid breaks
Cover for the shop manager during holidays and sickness.
Progression up to a Bakery shop manager.
23 shops so must have access to own transport.
Monday to Saturday 5/7
Sunday cover when required
Weekly and yearly bonus
Overtime is available
Work location: In person - Various Shop Locations including Wigan, St Helens, Standish and Ecclestone.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.83 per hour or £13.21 when covering the shop manager
Shop discount at all of our shops
Expected hours: 30 per week minimum
