Applications are invited for an exciting new opportunity to work with the Bangor Business School, both in the UK and in China. The successful applicant will split their time between Bangor and China, with the expectation that teaching time in China will likely form the most substantive part of the role.
Bangor has a long-established reputation for high quality research and teaching in Banking, Finance and Economics. The School is seeking to appoint a senior level academic to support the expansion of its TNE programmes both in the UK, and in China.
Successful candidates will be expected to support the continued growth of our Banking & Finance Undergraduate programme, taught at ZHEJIANG UNIVERSITY of FINANCE & ECONOMICS (ZUFE) in China. The successful candidate will have strong quantitative skills and substantial experience of teaching quantitative modules.
Candidates should be outstanding scholars with an excellent teaching and research record, and clearly defined research plans for the next REF. The successful candidate will have substantial teaching experience in HE and evidence of high level quality publications in one or more fields of Banking, Finance, Data Analytics and Economics, as well as a successful record in significant grant capture. They will be expected to lead and be part of influential national and international networks in their fields.
Interested applicants are invited to contact the Head of School, Professor Bruce Vanstone (b.vanstone@bangor.ac.uk) for informal discussion.
The successful candidate is expected to commence as soon as possible.
Applications will only be accepted via our on-line recruitment website, jobs.bangor.ac.uk. However, in cases of access issues due to disability, paper application forms are available by telephoning 01248 383865.
Closing date for applications: 07/05/2025
