Crynodeb
To undertake a range of routine, basic cardiac physiological measurement tests on both adult and paediatric patients. To adhere to departmental policies and procedures, ensuring a quality service is maintained to patients, general practitioners and clinicians. Following departmental training and assessment, perform the procedures/investigations listed below on a routine basis, ensuring repeatable, accurate electrode placement: - Electrocardiography (ECG) Ambulatory Monitoring (ECG) Assist within Echo section To recognise life threatening arrhythmias and have the ability to know when to seek assistance from senior staff within the area. To respond to emergency/urgent calls and record good quality ECGs as required by the team responsible for the patient e.g in the event of cardiac or respiratory arrest or collapse etc. Adhere to existing departmental procedures and seek advice from a more senior colleague if there is a need to deviate from these
