Crynodeb
The Head Office commercial team supports 14 diverse customers, each with their own priorities and ways of working although in general, there is no prioritisation or joint pipeline control across the customer base. The consequence is that the branch as a whole has a constant influx of requirements for support, and needs to exhibit a degree of flexibility and agility in meeting customer demands, and in particular the branch relies heavily on its more senior and experienced officers to both deliver procurement outcomes directly, and to mentor/coach/support the more junior staff members who are equally loaded up.
Each business partner team only has one SEO, and as such these posts have a role in leading, directly managing, advising, mentoring, developing, training other staff (including customers’ staff) in addition to their more overt, direct role in the procurement and contract management of projects for head office customers.
This is an SEO role in the BP2 team and is therefore a key position.
