Summary


The Post Holder will be responsible for regular review of patients in the Renal wards at the Royal Liverpool Hospital. This Opportunity exists for any candidate wishing to pursue a career in Nephrology.

The post will cover training in all aspects of Nephrology i.e.: Haemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, General Nephrology and Renal Transplantation.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be trained for practical procedures such as temporary and tunnelled central line insertions and ultrasound guided real time kidney biopsies.

The job content and location may be subject to change in order to suit the regional Renal service requirement and the training needs of the trainee.

The post holder will be working at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust with the potential for one outreach clinic. They will be responsible for regular review of patients in Renal wards and involved with in-patient supervision of approximately 20 patients in a designated time period.

The post holder will par-take in daily Consultant/Registrar ward rounds and will take part in Nephrology on call rota, currently 1:8 (shift system) with supervision from On call Nephrology Consultant and Registrar.
