What skills and experience we're looking for

Are you a talented educator with a big heart who shares our commitment to excellence and achieving the very best for all our pupils?

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Computer Science and/or Business Studies teacher with effect from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified or experienced teacher to join the Garth Hill team. We welcome applications from candidates looking for a full or part time position.

The ability to teach both subjects is highly desirable, but not essential, as there are teachers in the department who already offer both.

If you are an early career teacher then we welcome your application. A July start is available and our support for ECTs is highly regarded. ECTs are on a reduced timetable with a dedicated mentor. ‘ECTs feel supported and are flourishing’ Support is ‘above and beyond the usual requirements’ Extracts from ECT Framework Quality Assurance visit (Jan 2024)

Pupils enjoy coming to this inclusive, friendly school.(Ofsted, October 2024)
