About the Role

We are now delighted to be able to offer vacancies within the following teams:

  • Learning Disability & Autism Team, Hinckley (permanent, 37 hours per week) contracted base, Coalville, Leicestershire
  • Cognitive & Physical Disability Team, Blaby, Oadby & Wigston (fixed term until 01/09/25, 37 hours per week) contracted base, Wigston, Leicester
  • Cognitive & Physical Disability Team, Melton (permanent, 37 hours per week) contracted base, County Hall, Glenfield, Leicester
  • S117 Review Team (permanent, 37 hours & 18.5 hours per week) Countywide, contracted base, County Hall, Glenfield, Leicester
  • Mental Health Hospital Team (fixed term until 31/03/26, 37 hours per week) contracted base, County Hall, Glenfield, Leicester
  • Mental Health & Reablement Team, Blaby, Oadby, Wigston & Market Harborough (permanent, 37 hours per week) contracted base, Wigston, Leicester

We are looking for:

  • Newly Qualified Social Workers: £31,074 to £33,294
  • Level 2 Social Worker: £34,350 to £37,950
  • Level 3 Social Worker: £38,700 to £41,373 plus market supplement of £3,300 (£42,000 to £44,673)

About You

To apply for this post, you must:

  • Be a qualified Social Worker and registered with Social Work England.
  • Have knowledge of social work methodologies, social care policies such as person-centred approaches and asset based social work, and relevant legislation including The Care Act, Mental Health Act, and Mental Capacity Act.
  • Have experience of effective assessment and risk management delivery, and multi-agency/multidisciplinary working and/or hospital discharge processes.
  • Have experience of partnership working with adults to identify and meet need with creative and pragmatic solutions.
  • Be a confident communicator who is skilled in diplomacy, persuasion, assertive and conflict management and able to build effective working relationships.
  • Be able to work proactively individually but also as a team member.
  • Have good prioritisation and time management skills and have a valid UK driving licence or access to a vehicle

We also expect you to share our commitment to our values and will ask you to evidence when you have demonstrated them as part of the interview process.

A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
