Summary

Job Description

Working in a hybrid style, you will be based at home and 5 City Square, you will work full time, 37 hours per week.

Requirements

You will have a Management Diploma, or equivalent, and/or relevant demonstrable management experience.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible of the effective management, progression and financial control of area-based operations in line with Service policy and strategy, to co-ordinate and manage efficient and effective environmental operations, projects and resources, including street cleaning/litter removal, landscape projects, maintenance and development of open space, streetscene, parks, forestry, playgrounds, cemeteries and other areas i.e. beach management/rapid response etc.

The Individual

You will have management experience in operational service delivery, planning, scheduling and monitoring deadlines and targets. You will have experience of supervising staff, project management and CDM and excellent report writing skills.

You will have a proven successful track record of delegation of duties, proven successful track record of effective works monitoring and performance management. Experience in supervising/ management of front-line service delivery with knowledge of budgetary management and controls.

You will have experience in resource management, staff, equipment, etc. experience in implementing maintenance plans, developing and implementing work programmes along with working knowledge of Microsoft Packages including Office 365. Word, Teams etc. and the ability to use relevant IT packages, e.g. GIS etc.

You will be an excellent communicator and People Manager with excellent organisational and planning skills.

A current driving licence is required.
