We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality finishes and ideally have been working in a professional repair environment for at least 2 years. As a Painter, you will be responsible for masking, preparing car surfaces, flatting and finishing, mixing paints on our in house paint scheme, and applying the paint to the vehicles to give a high quality finish. You will be expected to be able to work well within our small team. The work you will be doing can range from small bumper repairs to accident damage repairs to minor panel dents and scratches. We also do restorations on classic cars and full resprays on vehicles ranging from race cars to concours show cars.
Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, masking, flatting, and filling dents or imperfections.
Mix paints and other materials according to specifications or instructions.
Apply filler, primer, paint and laquer using the correct techniques and equipment.
Ensure that all work areas are kept clean and organised throughout the painting process.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to safety regulations.
Ideally have knowledge of using a pin puller (not essential as training can be provided)
Experience:
Proven experience as a Painter or similar role is preferred.
Strong technical knowledge with the ability to work with water based and solvent based paint schemes.
A keen eye for detail with a commitment to delivering a high-quality finish.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
