Crynodeb

The University of South Wales (USW) takes pride in being a vocationally focused University, preparing students for jobs in key sectors in Wales and beyond. The Faculty of Business and Creative Industries (FBCI) is one of three faculties here at USW, offering courses across the Business and Creative Industries subject areas. The faculty professional services team currently supports members of staff across 3 locations, to deliver to over 6,000 students both on and off campus.

We are seeking to appoint a Resources Administrator (Resource) to provide support around the faculty’s broad range of administrative functions. This role works across a range of activities, with specific focus on faculty physical infrastructure needs, such as space management, IT co-ordination, general administration and health and safety administration, all with the aim of supporting the breadth of the faculty’s activities.

The University is currently operating a hybrid-model of working. However, the successful candidate would be expected to work on campus for the majority of the week, primarily based at our Cardiff campus, but with the need to work at our Pontypridd and Newport campuses also. This role will provide you with an opportunity to utilise your skills in excellent customer service, good communication and organisation, as well as being an effective team worker. The role is key to the successful operation of the faculty professional services team and the wider faculty. You will bring a proactive and collaborative approach to the role with the ability to demonstrate quality and credibility in everything you do.

If you are a successful candidate and this position will be your first professional services role at the University / RWCMD (or you are currently employed by PSS Ltd), you will be employed by Professional and Support Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of South Wales, which provides services to the University and Colleges.

We welcome applications in Welsh and English. Applications in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than those made in English.
