The Trauma and Orthopaedic department is looking for a highly motivated, proactive Patient Pathway Coordinator (VFC Coordinator/Secretary) to join our team and provide excellent service to both the Trauma and Orthopaedic clinical team and BHRUT service users. The successful candidate will have experience of audio typing, a minimum typing speed of 50 wpm, a good understanding of medical terminology, an understanding of the importance of patient care, work well within a team and have experience of working in a caring profession.

The post holder will be responsible for supporting the effective running of the Virtual Fracture Clinic, including typing of clinic letters, working closely with several key stakeholders including the Outpatients Service Manager, Booking and Scheduling Team and the Operational Management teams.

The post holder will be responsible for uploading referrals, booking appropriate appointments and maintaining up to date records as well as ensuring letters are typed accurately and within the time frame set by the service.

Our patients are benefitting from ourWomen’s Health Hubin Ilford; anAgeing Well Centrein Hornchurch; and Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC) atBarking Community Hospitaland atSt George’s Health and Wellbeing Hubin Hornchurch.

These CDCs are open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week and are providing an extra 88,000 scans a year.
