Description
The Welfare Policy Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing welfare policies that directly impact the well-being of our community. This position requires a deep understanding of social policies, program analysis, and collaborative engagement with stakeholders ranging from governmental agencies to non-profit organizations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to promoting equity and accessibility within welfare programs and have the skills to analyze complex policy environments. As a strategic thinker, you will lead initiatives to assess current welfare policies, identify areas for improvement, and advocate for evidence-based changes that enhance service delivery. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive policy recommendations that address the needs of vulnerable populations while ensuring regulatory compliance and sustainability. Your expertise will be vital in conducting research, creating reports, and presenting findings to stakeholders, thereby driving informed decision-making. In addition, you will oversee the implementation of welfare programs, ensuring they align with our organization's mission and goals. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, you will help build a robust framework for welfare policy advocacy and implementation, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and effectively to those who need them most.
Responsibilities
Lead the development and implementation of welfare policies and programs.
Conduct research and analysis to assess the effectiveness of current welfare initiatives.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify needs and propose policy improvements.
Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on policy recommendations.
Monitor and evaluate the impact of welfare policies on target populations.
Advocate for evidence-based policy changes to enhance service delivery.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks.
Requirements
Proven experience in policy development and analysis related to welfare or social services.
Strong understanding of social justice issues and equity in welfare programs.
Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
Experience in stakeholder engagement and coalition building.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
Advanced degree in public policy, social work, or a related field.
Hours Per Week: 36.00

End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Day: £278.13
