Description
The Senior Neighbourhood Housing Officer (PO2) position is a pivotal role within our organization, aimed at enhancing the quality of life for residents in our neighbourhoods. As a Senior Officer, you will be responsible for managing and delivering a comprehensive housing service to a diverse community. This includes overseeing housing allocation, tenancy management, and ensuring compliance with relevant housing policies and legislation. You will lead a dedicated team, providing guidance and support to ensure effective service delivery and a positive customer experience. Additionally, you will play a key role in community engagement, working closely with residents to identify their needs and concerns, and facilitating initiatives that promote social inclusion and community development. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of housing management, and a commitment to delivering high-quality services. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including local authorities, community groups, and other partners, to foster a collaborative and proactive approach to housing issues. Your expertise will also be crucial in driving forward strategic housing initiatives that align with our organizational goals, ensuring that we provide sustainable and varied housing solutions to meet the needs of our community.
Responsibilities
Manage the housing allocation process to ensure fair and equitable access to housing.
Oversee tenancy management ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
Lead and support a team of housing officers to deliver excellent customer service.
Engage with residents to identify and address community issues and needs.
Develop and implement initiatives to promote resident involvement and participation.
Collaborate with external stakeholders and agencies to enhance service delivery.
Monitor and report on housing performance indicators to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
Significant experience in housing management, preferably in a local authority or community setting.
Strong understanding of housing legislation, regulations, and policies.
Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
Proven ability to engage and communicate effectively with diverse communities.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Relevant housing qualification or equivalent experience in a related field.
Hours Per Week: 35.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £21.71
