Thrive Recruitment Group is excited to be recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a brand-new specialist provision supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an inspiring new setting, helping young people reach their full potential in a nurturing and structured environment.

As an HLTA, you will play a vital role in supporting students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

You will:
✔️ Provide tailored support to small groups and individuals with SEMH & ASD
✔️ Assist in the planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons
✔️ Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents
✔️ Implement strategies to support confidence and self-esteem
✔️ Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
✔️ Support students during break and lunchtime to ensure their wellbeing
✔️ Work closely with SENCOs, teachers, and external agencies to provide holistic support

✅ HLTA qualification or significant experience in a similar role
✅ Experience supporting children and young people with SEMH and ASD
✅ A strong understanding of special educational needs and intervention strategies
✅ Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
✅ Experience assisting with lesson planning and delivery
✅ The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
✅ A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
