Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic Gallery Assistant to join our team. This role involves managing daily gallery operations, selling artwork, handling social media, taking framing orders and ensuring an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist with artwork sales and provide outstanding customer service.
2. Manage the gallery’s social media, create engaging content, and promote artists and services.
3. Oversee daily operations, including stock management and transactions.
4. Update the website and use relevant software for gallery operations.
5. Maintain a presentable and welcoming gallery space.
Requirements:
- Strong appreciation and understanding of fine art.
- Sales and customer service experience.
- Tech-savvy, with knowledge of Microsoft applications (especially Excel).
- Numerically astute and detail-oriented.
- Creative and familiar with social media applications
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
- Physically active. Able to hang artwork and use a step ladder
- Self-motivated, takes initiative, and proactive
- Punctual, reliable and well-presented
- A car owner with a valid driving license (preferred)
