Crynodeb
Petite Starz Nursery believe that all children learn through play and experiences and strive to create a fun and stimulating environment for all. They are looking for a dedicated childcare apprentice who will be involved in;
Working with your colleagues, create an environment that meets the needs of the children by considering their cultural and medical needs
Advise the Nursery Manager about concerns relating to a child or parent while respecting confidentiality requirements
Adhere to the nursery’s policies and procedures, as well as legislative requirements relating to childcare
Maintain high standards for safety, cleanliness and hygiene
Create fun and educational activities for the children under your care
Complete any assignments/activities set by your training provider in a timely manner.
Seek advice and support whenever you need it, either for assignments or for help with your childcare practice.
Work alongside your colleagues to meet the children’s needs in a patient, kind, caring and appropriate manner.
Ensure resources and the nursery environment is kept in good order, clean, and any issues (e.g. broken equipment) are brought to the attention of the manager immediately.
You are expected to take part in the nappy changing and cleaning rota as required.

Training
Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Petite starz nursery will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day
You will be working towards the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes;
Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification
Functional skills in Maths and English if requiredThis will be delivered through Petite starz nursery dedicated training provider, Realise.
