This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy, dynamic British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) accredited echocardiogram department in the centre of the vibrant city of Bristol.
Due to rapid expansion of our specialist services, we are looking to recruit an additional team member to further develop the range of echocardiographic services we provide on a fixed term basis.
This is an opportunity to experience working in a tertiary centre setting, with exposure to a range of complex pathologies including Adult Congenital Heart Disease patients, complex valve lesions and Inherited Cardiac Conditions.
Applicants should hold the BSE transthoracic echocardiography accreditation or EACVI accreditation , be competent to issue independent reports and provide teaching for medical and non-medical staff. Candidates without these qualifications should not apply.
The post holder may be required to work flexibly at multiple sites, and will be expected to cover Saturday shifts and Bank Holidays on a pro rata basis.
Perform and report adult transthoracic studies to meet British Society of Education and internal guidelines.
Perform and report a range of complex studies, to include adult congenital heart disease , inherited cardiac conditions, pre and post operative studies to include TAVi, Mitraclip and Tendyne studies. Support for this will be provided.
To train other sonographers and health care professionals to perform echocardiograms.
To be fully involved in quality improvement processes.
