Are you passionate about providing excellent customer service and ensuring vital records are accurate? If so, we invite you to join our Registration Service team at Lancashire County Council as a Registration Officer!

What You'll Be Doing:

Working on our busy ceremony programme, registering or conducting statutory ceremonies at our registration offices or at our external approved venues or sometimes in religious buildings; all premises you attend will be within the boundary of Lancashire County Council.
Our Ideal Applicant Will:

Have excellent customer service skills, putting the customer at the heart of every conversation.
Be organised and have good time management when completing tasks.
Possess strong digital skills to create and maintain accurate records promptly.
Be a confident communicator, able to deal with a wide range of customers; you will be able to remain personable whilst asking technical questions and operating within a stringent legal framework. Full training on our processes will be provided to equip you with the necessary knowledge.
More About These Roles: Our teams are based across Lancashire, with opportunities to work at our offices in:

Burnley
Accrington
Chorley
Ormskirk
Preston
Lancaster
Our approved venues are across the county.

These roles are annualised contracts, meaning you will work your hours over the year, for example 416 or 520 etc., but the hours you work each week will vary depending on demand. The annual salary will be pro-rata. Work patterns are agreed in advance in accordance with the needs of the service but caveat that there may be occasions when the officer is required to work outside of this pattern. You will be asked to provide your availability 2 months in advance so that the rota of our ceremony programme can be put together and you can see when you will be working.
