This is an exciting opportunity to join the busy Licensing Team at Havant Borough Council.



The team deals with the administration and enforcement of the licensing requirements relating to the Licensing Act 2003, the
Gambling Act 2005, street trading, charity collections, scrap metal dealers and hackney carriage and private hire vehicles,
drivers and private hire operators.



We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to undertake the daily administrative functions of the
team and support the Licensing Officers in their enforcement work. The administrative functions include liaising with customers
over the phone, via email or in person, answering queries, maintaining records, data entry and database management.



The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work and process applications in an
efficient manner to statutory timescales. The work demands a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality at all times. Strong
communication skills are essential to help and advise customers on a wide range of licensing requirements.



This is a full-time post. The successful applicant will work in the office full time, at least until their training is complete,
after which time arrangements for occasional homeworking may be discussed with line manager if required.
