Casual Policy Research Assistant – DPP603
Band D (SCP 5 - SCP 7) £24,790 - £25,584 per annum, pro rata to hours worked

Stafford Borough is a large district (230 square miles) with a population of 138,000 and the historic County Town of Stafford as its main centre. The Borough provides a mix of urban and rural planning issues, and a variety of new challenges.

This post will support the next stage of delivering the new Local Plan involving site assessments, data processing and research and evidence based projects to inform planning policy development. Key Skills & Qualifications:

o Have enthusiasm and the ability to work to tight deadlines
o Be educated to degree standard in planning or a relevant related discipline
o Demonstrate good analytical abilities with research and advanced IT skills
o Ideally some knowledge and understanding of the Local Plan process
o Enjoy both taking individual responsibility and working as part of a busy team
