This is not a project management job. We're looking for a skilled agile delivery manager, who has experience of leading, supporting and coordinating teams to deliver software in agile environments.

Our Agile Delivery Managers enable high-performing digital teams to create, build, innovate and deliver. We create psychologically safe spaces where digital experts can be at their best.
You'll make sure they have what they need to deliver the best services. You'll identify blockers, and find the best way round through, and over.
Working with our Data & Analytics team, you will be implementing our data strategy, steering our focus to support DWP's efforts to move to cloud-based technologies and a more agile environment.
You will be working closely with the team to align their work with the wider digital transformation programme, as well as managing important project elements like resourcing, finances and stakeholder engagement.
You will empower and enable experts in software engineering, process design, user research and user experience design, as well as policy development.
Developing a World-Class Practice.
Our Agile Delivery practice is thriving with over 200 members. We lead a cross-government community which meets once a month to share ideas and discuss emerging trends.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
- A track record of delivering large scale digital services at pace in complex agile environments involving multiple delivery teams and stakeholders.
- Exemplary leadership skills with the ability to build and motivate high performing teams and influence diverse stakeholder groups, including experience of coaching and mentoring.
- A proactive approach to developing capability in the organisation.
- The drive to create a culture of healthy, psychologically safe, innovative, sustainable teams.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with evidence of changing organisation status quo.
- Experience of procuring and managing external suppliers, driving value and performance to achieve outcomes.

Location: You'll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, London, Manchester, Newcastle or Sheffield, whichever is most convenient for you.
Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.
Pay: We offer competitive pay of up to £89,995.
Pension: You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%.
Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 26 days rising to 31 days over time.
You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time. You'll also get all the usual public holidays.
