We are looking for an experienced Safety Officer to work for a Food packing company based in Leicester
This is a permanent position
The Job:
• To achieve this - you will implement and monitor safety procedures and policies
• This job is very important to ensure a safe and compliant working environment
• You will need to develop, implement and maintain safety policies and procedures
• Conduct risk assessments
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations
• Conducting regular safety audits and inspections
• Provide staff training on safety practices, emergency procedures and usage of PPE
• Investigate accidents and near misses and completing detailed reports with improvement recommendations
• Maintain safety records along with incidents and training sessions
• Hours of work - Monday to Friday - 8 hours per day with flexible start times available
• Salary is negotiable based on your experience
About you:
• Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and practices
• BRC and/or SALSA knowledge
• Excellent report writing skills with ability to communicate findings clearly
• First aid certification would be an advantage
• Efficient in root cause analysis and able to address any issues correctly
• Strong organisational skills
• Able to work independently along with being part of the team
