Basic DBS disclosure
Skills & Experience:
Experience in homelessness or housing options, with in-depth knowledge of housing legislation and case management.
At least 3 years of experience in Homeless & Housing Solutions
Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to work in a high-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work constructively in a team setting.
What's involved with this role: We are looking for an experienced Homelessness & Housing Solutions Officer to deliver a specialised service focused on preventing and relieving homelessness, where you will handle complex cases and make legally sound decisions based on the Housing Act and Homelessness Reduction Act.
Key Duties:
Provide expert housing advice and solutions with a customer-centred approach, ensuring sensitivity to equality and diversity.
Manage a caseload of homelessness applications, making legally compliant decisions based on current case law.
Coordinate temporary accommodation placements in accordance with legislation and best practices.
Build relationships with private sector landlords to expand housing options and prevent homelessness.
Prepare accurate case files and reports, ensuring transparency, quality, and adherence to financial regulations while collaborating with internal and external partners.
