Gi Group is hiring a Quality Assurance Technician on behalf of our client in Bradford. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with an eye for detail and a passion for quality control in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Quality Assurance Technician - Key Responsibilities
As a Quality Assurance Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:
* Collecting product samples from the manufacturing floor.
* Supporting manufacturing teams in calibrating brix meters on production lines.
* Conducting standardised analytical tests on batches, charge-up samples, finished products, stock holds, and complaint samples.
* Interpreting results, understanding brix (sugar) and pH levels, and communicating findings to the production team.
* Testing raw materials, including mineral water and comminute.
* Setting up and using HPLC instrumentation.
* Conducting taste testing of all finished goods and identifying any quality issues.
* Testing chemical oxygen demand (COD) and pH levels of environmental samples.
* Checking packaging and coding specifications using the SAP system and ensuring corrective actions are taken if needed.
* Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with all documentation systems.
* Supporting the Quality Assurance Supervisor in external proficiency checks.

General Responsibilities
* Actively engaging in lean manufacturing practices, including 5S, AM, and problem-solving to drive continuous improvement.
* Promoting a culture of safety and ensuring all health and safety policies are followed.
* Demonstrating behaviours that align with company values and quality, safety, and environmental standards.
* Supporting ethical trading and human rights commitments in all business practices.

What We're Looking For
The ideal Quality Assurance Technician will have:
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Effective communication skills to liaise with different teams.
* The ability to prioritise tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* GCSEs in Science, Maths, and English or relevant work experience.
* Understanding of continuous improvement work practices.
