Riverview Infant School are looking for a hardworking, flexible member of staff to join their Catering Team as an Assistant Cook.

The post will be for 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am – 2pm, 38 weeks per year. You will be paid £24,040 Full time equivalent, actual pro rata salary of £13,734.70 per year.

You will work with the Catering Manager to lead the kitchen team to provide an efficient food service to our pupils. The role will require an organised individual, able to help run a busy kitchen. You will play an essential part in ensuring our food service is the best that it can be.

You will need to be flexible and adaptable, and your duties will be varied, including basic food preparation, serving pupils and staff, and of course washing up and helping to keep the kitchen clean, tidy and safe.

As a very important member of our team, you will be expected to undertake training, which you will be paid for, and we will provide you with uniform.

Experience of working in a kitchen environment is desirable but not essential, and we welcome applicants seeking a better work life balance and greater flexibility.
