The Role
As a Sports Tutor, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging and high-quality education programmes to Post-16 learners. You will be responsible for delivering vocational and employability qualifications, including BTEC and higher education courses, ensuring learners develop the skills and confidence to progress into further education or employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging sports education programmes for Post-16 learners.
- Support learners' educational, personal, and professional development.
- Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing tailored support to ensure success.
- Develop and lead engaging sessions in line with the Foundation’s education and employability strategy.
- Assist in the recruitment of learners and build strong relationships with key education and employability partners.
- Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and equality policies are followed at all times.
About You
We are looking for passionate, adaptable, and high-performing individuals who are committed to supporting young people in their education and career journeys.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
✔ Educated to degree level in a relevant subject (BTEC/NVQ Level 3/A Levels considered).
✔ Relevant teaching qualification (CTTLS/QTS/QTLS or equivalent).
✔ Experience delivering vocational and employability qualifications (e.g., BTEC).
✔ Safeguarding & First Aid Certificates (or willingness to obtain).
✔ Ability to build strong relationships and motivate learners to achieve their potential.
Desirable:
➕ PGCE or equivalent qualification.
➕ NGB Level 2 coaching or Level 3 in Personal Training/Exercise Referral.
➕ Experience in developing and delivering sports education programmes.
