- Conduct time and motion studies, process mapping, and spaghetti diagram analysis to enhance operational efficiency.
- Optimize workflow, push-pull systems, sub-assembly integration, and overall vehicle build sequences.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement and waste reduction.
- Support Kaizen events and improvement initiatives across the shop.
- Proven experience in a hands-on industrial/process engineering role within a manufacturing environment (preferably in complex, high-value vehicle assembly).
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, TPS, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Skilled in process mapping, spaghetti diagrams, and time & motion studies.
- Experience with push-pull systems, sub-assembly integration, and manufacturing flow optimization.
- Ability to work closely with shop-floor teams, supervisors, manufacturing engineers, manufacturing quality engineers, and engineering teams, ensuring all bases are covered while maintaining a focus on continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication, active listening, and training abilities to coach teams on process improvements.
- Resilient mindset – open to new ideas but committed to making decisions that benefit the business as a whole.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
- Experience in heavy manufacturing, defence, or vehicle assembly is highly desirable.
- A compressed nine-day fortnight – which means every other Friday off!
- A flexible benefits scheme - allowing you to adapt your benefits to suit yours and your family’s needs
