Role Responsibilities

The Maintenance Manager at The Dallas Burston Hotel, you will be an integral part of the pre and post-opening team and the day-to-day running and expansion thereafter. Playing a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel by managing and maintaining its physical assets and infrastructure. Your responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing and managing the hotel's maintenance team, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Planning and executing maintenance and repair activities for the hotel's facilities, including rooms, common areas, and mechanical systems.
  • Managing and ensuring the proper functioning of essential systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security systems.
  • Scheduling and supervising preventive maintenance to minimise downtime and operational disruptions.
  • Collaborating with other departments to address maintenance-related issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Managing maintenance budgets and expenses while ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and environmental standards.
  • Evaluating and recommending improvements to enhance the hotel's physical assets.
  • Handling maintenance

Key Requirements

You should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Previous experience in maintenance management within the hotel or hospitality industry.
  • Strong technical and mechanical knowledge, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to manage maintenance budgets and resources effectively.
  • Proficiency in IT applications for maintenance management.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and environmental standards.
