Job Title Finance & Business Analyst
Salary Circa £27,000 per annum
Department: Finance
Reports to: Group Finance Business Partner
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week (8.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday)

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Analytics & Reporting - Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key metrics related to production, waste, and sales data. Conduct in-depth analysis to identify trends and provide actionable insights to stakeholders, helping to drive informed business decisions.
  • Costing & Pricing - Create and manage complex costing models to support pricing strategies. Perform detailed cost analysis to optimise profitability and regularly update standard costings to reflect accurate financial data.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis - Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes. Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for any deviations from budgeted figures, ensuring financial stability and efficiency.
  • Accounting & Month-End Responsibilities - Handle reconciliations, prepare journal entries, and support internal controls. Assist in the preparation of financial and management reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal skills are essential; the ideal candidate will be required to communicate regularly with personnel at all levels in the company.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently on multiple projects/tasks at one time.
  • Understanding of financial statements, costing principles, and budgeting/forecasting.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with BI tools and ERP systems is a big plus.
  • Ability to build effective working relations within all areas of the business, as well as deal with suppliers and customers in a professional manner.
