Relief Ferries Pier Worker – Sanday

Hours are offered on an as and when required basis

£14.85 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)

A shift allowance will be paid for unsocial hours worked where appropriate

Applicants are sought for the post of Relief Ferries Pier Worker in Sanday.

The post involves Ferry Services vessel berthing operations including marshalling passengers and marshalling / inspection of vehicles and their loads before boarding.

The post also requires handling of ships ropes and gangways (as required) during berthing operations. You will be able to show an ability to establish good working relationships with all levels of staff and public and the ability to provide a professional service.

It is essential that you live on the Island of Sanday.

You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
